Welcome!  

I have a special affection for writers -- those of us walking around, narrating our lives, thinking "too much," clarifying what we know, editing. When I engage with a writer on a project, I get to travel to a new world. As an author and an outsider looking in, I help writers recognize the attractiveness of the worlds they inhabit or invent.

When you consult with me, I will ask you to talk through the book you want to write. My dual careers as a psychologist and author equip me to listen beyond your defenses, to pull out the essence of your message, and to help you find your true voice. But my role is not to "treat" you, and this is not therapy; rather, my first role is to help you clear the clutter so that you can write the book that only you can write.

But we don't stop there. I will also teach you the steps you need to take to acquire a literary agent, to get your book sold to a publisher, and to release your message or story into the world. There is a way to do it. The way is not easy, but I will make it easier. 

A friend of mine told me that he decided to write because he didn't want his headstone to read:   

"Never did get around to writing that book..."
